“Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Picked Up For Additional 26 Episodes, Further Details

While no formal press release has been issued at this time, The World’s Finest can confirm that production on an additional 26 episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold is already underway. Expect further details on these upcoming Batman: The Brave and The Bold episodes to be revealed later this year as the first order of 26 episodes winds down.

Please note that details on the second season, including when and where it will air and more, will possibly be announced at the Cartoon Network upfronts scheduled for next month.

In related news, new credit information has also been released for scheduled upcoming episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold. The March 13th, 2009 episode “Mystery in Space” is written by Jim Krieg and directed by Brandon Vietti, with writer Todd Casey and director Michael Chang working on the March 20th, 2009 episode “Trials of the Demon!” The World’s Finest also confirms that Greg Weisman, known for his work on both the Gargoyles and The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series, will be writing an upcoming episode of the Batman: The Brave and The Bold.

New “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Scheduled For March 2009 On Cartoon Network

Below are official descriptions and respective airdates for the new episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold slated for March 2009 on Cartoon Network.

Friday, March 6th, 2009 – “Game Over for Owlman!”
On Earth, Owlman has been perpetrating crimes disguised as Batman and assembled all the villains to join him.

Friday, March 13th, 2009 – “Mystery In Space!”
On his birthday, a melancholy Aquaman joins Batman for a space adventure on Adam Strange’s home planet of Rann.

Friday, March 20th, 2009 – “Trials of the Demon!”
In 19th century London, Jason Blood — aka The Demon Etrigan — has been framed for supernatural attacks perpetrated by Gentleman Ghost.

Please note schedule information is subject to change without notice. After the new Batman: The Brave and The Bold episode slated to air on March 20th, 2009, expect a brief hiatus before new episodes appear, tentatively for April 2009 and May 2009. Batman: The Brave and The Bold airs every Friday at 8pm (ET) on Cartoon Network.
