New Cast And Plot Details For Upcoming “Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths” Confirmed
New cast information and plot details for the upcoming Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths direct-to-video animated feature, revealed online earlier today, have been officially confirmed by a representative for Warner Home Video. While official details are expected to be released within the coming weeks by Warner Home Video, around the Blu-ray/DVD street date of the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie line title Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, the currently released information has been confirmed by the studio.
Scheduled for a Spring 2010 release on Blu-ray and DVD as part of the popular DC Universe Animated Original Movie direct-to-video animated feature line, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths features an original story from award-winning animation/comics writer Dwayne McDuffie (Justice League) inspired by the popular Crisis-themed stories that have rocked the DC Universe. In Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, a heroic Lex Luthor from an alternate universe appears to recruit the Justice League to help save his Earth from the Crime Syndicate, a gang of villainous characters with nearly identical super powers to the Justice League. What ensues is the ultimate battle of good versus evil in a war that threatens both planets and, through a devious plan launched by Owlman, puts the balance of all existence in peril.
The creative team is led by Bruce Timm (Superman Doomsday, Green Lantern: First Flight) as executive producer, Lauren Montgomery (Wonder Woman,Green Lantern: First Flight) and Sam Liu (Superman/Batman: Public Enemies) as co-directors, with the story by Dwayne McDuffie (Justice League). The all-star voice cast for Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths is led by Mark Harmon (NCIS) as Superman, James Woods (Shark, Family Guy) as Owlman, Chris Noth (Sex and the City, Law & Order) as Lex Luthor, William Baldwin (Dirty Sexy Money) as Batman, Gina Torres (Serenity, Firefly) as Super Woman and Bruce Davison (X-Men) as the President.
