DC Comics Bulks Up “The Batman Adventures: Mad Love – Deluxe Edition” With Bonus Content

DC Comics announced it will include new bonus content for the new upcoming hardcover release of the classic The Batman Adventures: Mad Love one-shot, set to hit shelves in March 2015. The critically acclaimed comic book, written by Paul Dini with art by Bruce Timm, features the origin of the wildly popular character Harley Quinn.

The publisher reveals that, in addition to the original The Batman Adventures: Mad Love, the Deluxe Edition hardcover release will now include Bruce Timm’s complete pencil layouts and color guides. Due to the increase in page count, jumping from 96 pages to 144, the price will go from $17.99US to $24.99US.

DC Comics Presents: Batman Adventures is a one-shot collection, slated for release on July 30th, 2014, featuring five stories pulled from the classic The Batman Adventures comic title (and its respective spin-offs and reboots). Cover price is $7.99US.

Coverage Of San Diego Comic-Con 2013 “Batman: The Animated Series Turns 21” Panel

The 21st birthday of the classic Batman: The Animated Series cartoon was celebrated over the weekend at one of the biggest comic conventions in North America. The San Diego Comic-Con convention is held every year, focusing on host of different genres and pop culture events, with everything from comics to movies covered over the span of a long weekend. The 2013 schedule for the famed San Diego Comic-Con included a panel dedicated to the classic Batman: The Animated Series landmark cartoon, with a host of the series’ creators in tow. The hour-long panel “Batman: The Animated Series Turns 21” was held on Saturday, July 20th, 2013 at the San Diego Comic-Con, and featured Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, Alan Burnett, Eric Radomski, along with a surprise guest.
