LIVEWIRE: At least Superman had the smarts to keep his
distance. Tsk, tsk. Half the size, half the strength, and apparently,
half the brain.
BULLOCK: So she smoked ya.
SUPERGIRL: We put up a fight.
BULLOCK: And lost. I never thought I'd hear myself saying this, but
where's the Bat?
BATGIRL: We're handling this.
BULLOCK: Oh, that's reassuring.
IVY: Your hyenas have been watering my plans again.
LIVEWIRE: Pick up the cash and load it in the car. I'm going shopping!
SHE GRABS A BILL AND WALKS OFF. HARLEY TURNS TO IVY.
HARLEY: When did we become 'the gang'?
LIVEWIRE: Are you out of your mind?!
HARLEY THINKS FOR A MINUTE.
PENGUIN: We're closed. Besides, you aren't even old enough to come in
SUPERGIRL: Wanna see my I.D.?
PENGUIN: No! I want Batman, Superman, or someone who can do something!
BATGIRL: Like it or not, we're all you've got.
REPORTER (TV): Livewire, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn. . . So who was
responsible for the collar?
BULLOCK (TV): Just a couple of rookies.
KARA: You bum!
BULLOCK: Well, (He turns to the camera) they show some potential.
Review: The only real plus to
this episode was the use of the old theme songs of Batgirl, Harley and
Ivy. Other than that, there should have been some sort of plot. If this
episode was trying to prove that the girls can be just as good as the
guys, then it didn't do it well. I was expecting something a bit more
P.C., but instead there is Supergirl and Batgirl sitting on the couch in
dressing gowns with their hair up in towels. Yeesh.
Harley was pretty much useless in this episode besides the occasional
laugh such as the re-occurring oversized mallet routine, and the one
scene where she uses the punch-glove on Supergirl only to have it bounce
back and knock Harley out cold. Ivy and Livewire could have been alone
and the episode would have been just fine.
The animations wasn't anything worth bragging about, but it was well
done at times. Everything was to proportion, and Ivy's animal-plants
looked great, but other than that, too much bright electric-lights just
bothered the eyes.
