Creators - Writers

Dan Slott
First Animated Comic Work: Superman Adentures #40 (Writer)
Batman Adventures Position: Writer (#1-8, #10-14)
Key Issues: #5-8, #12-13
History: One of the key driving forces behind the Batman Adventures, Dan Slott had previously worked in the animated Batman mythos in Gotham Adventures #58, a fan-favorite of the series, a story which he even tied into Batman Adventures with his use of Matches Malone. Up until issue #14, Slott was still very active in the series, but the final issues were put into the hands of Jason Hall (#15) and Ty Templeton (#16, #17).

Slott is currently writing the critically acclaimed She-Hulk from Marvel Comics.

Gabe Soria
First Animated Comic Work: Batman Adventures #9 (Writer)
Batman Adventures Position: Writer (#9)
Key Issues: #9

Jason Hall
First Animated Comic Work: Batman: Gotham Knights #51 (Writer)
Batman Adventures Position: Writer (#15)
Key Issues: #15
History: Best at writing about his favorite* Batman villain, Mr. Freeze, Hall has intertwined him into a duo of stories, playing off of Templeton's revelation of Nora Fries new wife in Gotham Adventures #6, Hall managed to advance Freeze's character as far as the creative team had in the Animated Series--and in only two issues to boot.

Hall continues to write comic books, both for DC, and his own Indie company, Pistolwhip Comics, with co-founder Matt Kindt.

Ty Templeton
First Animated Comic Work: The Batman Adventures #1 (Artist)
Batman Adventures Position: Writer, Artist (#1-8, #10-15, #16-17)
Key Issues: #1-4, #16-#17
History: Ty Templeton has been onboard the animated comic rendition of Batman since the very first issue of The Batman Adventures. While his time was brief on Gotham Adventures, Ty returned in full force to Batman Adventures, where he began not only writing main stories and back-ups, but also drawing both as well.

Ty Templeton is currently working with Bongo comics on their popular The Simpson's comic--where he both writes and draws his own stories.

Vito Delsante
First Animated Comic Work: Batman Adventures #9 (Back-Up) (Writer)
Batman Adventures Position: Writer (#9 Back-Up)
Key Issues: #9
History: Vito Delsante's very first comic book story was none other than his first (and, sadly, last) story for Batman Adventures. Despite mixed reviews of the issue itself, the back-up was, and still is, loved by many fans of the series.

Delsante is still writing comics, and is currently working on The Mercury Chronicles for Image Comics, which will start hitting bookshelves in January.
