AMC NETWORK HIT SERIES ‘GEEKING OUT’ CREATES INTRODUCTION FOR
‘BATMAN: RETURN OF THE CAPED CRUSADERS’ FATHOM EVENTS SCREENINGS

Kevin Smith & Greg Grunberg Exchange Bat Thoughts During Entertaining Lead-In to October 10 Exclusive One-Time Cinematic Event

Geeking Out, AMC Network’s newest venture into unscripted programming spotlighting all things fanboy, will give fans an entertaining introduction to the Fathom Events screenings of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders on October 10 in theaters across the country.

Fathom Events, in partnership with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, bring Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders to movie theaters for three exclusive showings on Monday, October 10 at 2:00 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time – before the film comes to Digital HD on October 11 and Blu-ray™ Combo Pack & DVD on November 1.

Hosted by Kevin Smith (Comic Book Men, Clerks) and Greg Grunberg (Heroes, Lost, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens and graphic novel “Dream Jumper”), Geeking Out is a 30-minute talk show that takes a timely look at pop culture through a fanboy lens and features celebrity interviews, discussion and out-of-the-studio segments.

The series is produced by The Weinstein Company in association with Matador and Bandwagon Media. Reflective of the series’ free-flowing approach, and filmed on the Geeking Out set, the series’ hosts provide some keen insights, playful observations and personal anecdotes regarding Batman throughout the ages during the piece that will precede the screening of Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders.

Geeking Out concluded its first season on AMC Network on Sunday, October 2. Complete episodes for the entire series can be found at http://www.amc.com/shows/geeking-out.

Bringing these iconic characters to animated life are Adam West (Batman), Burt Ward (Robin) and Julie Newmar (Catwoman). In the new film, Penguin, The Joker, Riddler and Catwoman have combined their wicked talents to hatch a plot so nefarious that the Dynamic Duo will need to go to outer space (and back) to foil their arch enemies and restore order in Gotham City.

In addition to the film, audiences will view an exclusive Geeking Out pre-screening introduction, and a post-screening preview of “Those Dastardly Desperados,” a featurette that explores how the villains became more than just antagonists in a Batman story – they became icons of American pop culture.

Tickets for Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders can now be online by visiting  www.FathomEvents.com or at participating theater box offices. Fans throughout the U.S. will be able to enjoy the event in more than 700 select movie theaters. For a complete list of theater locations visit the Fathom Events website (theaters and participants are subject to change).
