Black Mask

PAUL DINI'S COMMENTS ON POSSIBLE SHOW APPEARANCE: "MAYBE."

My Comments:
**Made great animated-style appearances in new "Batman Adventures" comics by Ty Templeton and Dan Slott!**

If a new Batman cartoon is made he should definitely be considered as a major possibility. He combines the weird insanity of an Arkham villain with the style of an old-fashioned mob boss.

POSSIBLE VOICE ACTOR CHOICE: James Earl Jones
Mr. Jones would be an INCREDIBLE Black Mask.

BLACK MASK'S COMIC ORIGIN
REAL NAME: Roman Sionis
FIRST APPEARANCE: Batman #386
ORIGIN: Roman Sionis was once the heir to Gotham's powerful Janus Cosmetics. Driven to bankruptcy after marketing a highly toxic waterproof makeup, Janus was spared from ruin by a WayneCorp bailout, though Sionis's perceived 'loss of face' unhinged his already fragile mental state. Shattering the lid of his father's ebony coffin, Sionis carved a fearsome black mask from its fragments and set about to murder the newly appointed Janus board of directors with his so-called 'False Face Society', a cadre of masked thugs. With the Batman in close pursuit, Sionis purged all ties with his former life by setting his family estate ablaze, though the flames forever etched Black Mask's countenance on Sionis's face. Black Mask was incarcerated in Arkham but managed to escape and has risen to prominence as Gotham's leading mob boss. ((from 'Batman Villains Secret Files and Origins'))
