Aunt May and Uncle Ben raised Peter after his parents died. Following the death of Uncle Ben, Peter and May grew closer together. Aunt May was forever dotting on Peter, loving him as if she was her own son. However, May was unaware that Peter was Spider-Man, and felt a strong, almost inexplicable hatred for Spider-Man.
