Growing up in a tough neighborhood, and constantly under threat by criminals, Robert Farrell decided to use his scientific knowledge to make a name for himself and protect his family's store. When he discovered a pile of stolen cash on the street, he took it for himself, but got caught and arrested. Tracking down the theives who really stole the money, he discovered a jet pack which he converted into a suit so he could steal goods to pay for his mother's medicine. He eventually realized the errors of his ways and gave up the suit, deciding to pay his debt to society and continue to support his mother and their business.
