One of the Nazi's top agents, The Red Skull was obsessed with controlling a doomsday weapon to help him overthrow the world. After numerous battles with Captain America and the Six American Warriors, he and Captain America became trapped in dimensional vortex prison. Fifty years later, Skull's son would free him to continue the pursuit of controlling a doomsday weapon, but he would eventually be thwarted and once again trapped in the vortex prison.
