Alistair Smythe created the wristbands and electro suit that gives Shocker his power. Like The Rhino, Shocker is loyal follower of the Kingpin, and serves as muscle for hefty criminal. He later joined The Insidious Six at the behest of The Kingpin in order to kill Spider-Man. As one of The Kingpin's most loyal supervillains, he was called upon time and time again.
