Alistair Smythe

Alistair Smythe's father was a master of robotics who was hired by Norman Osborn to create a robot to capture Spider-Man. He was thought dead following an explosion at his lab, prompting Smythe to join with The Kingpin to get revenge for his father's apparent death. Smythe designed a number of Spider Slayer robots with the intention to kill those responsible for his Father's death. After Spider-Man defeated said robots, Smythe continued to work for Fisk, creating more robots to do Kingpin's bidding.

After attempting to betray The Kingpin, The Kingpin and Dr. Herbert Landon turned Smythe into a cyborg. Smythe eventually broke free of The Kingpin, however. Smythe was unaware that his father was still alive in suspended animation until Spider-Man discovered him, and now works for anyone who can free his father from his cryogenic suspension.
