The return of Parafino came as a big surprise to me. They even went out of their way to keep his identity a secret until the moment it had to be revealed.
This episode is so much better than his original appearance. This episode has something going for it, mainly, there was a lot of mystery to the episode in the first few moments. Where'd Blackbeard come from? Who's the guy in the shadows? If you're expecting a Return Of The Joker style mystery, well, you'll be disappointed, but if you've managed to understand what this show was trying to do and accept it, then there's a good chance that you'll really enjoy this episode.
If you've read my previous reviews, you might believe that I think the original villains suck. This isn't true, but in all honesty, I'd much prefer to see the comics' rogues. Spider-Man easily has the best rouges in all of comics, and it's disappointing to know some of them missed the chance to be animated.
