The High Evolutionary's patience is at an end. He wants Spider-Man and the rebels and he wants them now, so he institutes a reign of terror designed to make them give themselves up. Review:
So this is how it ends ... on a cliffhanger.

The High Evolutionary decides he's had enough of humans. He's been stating his dislike for people since the beginning, andhe's ready to be rid of them. But .. what he does here doesn't seem to do anything different. What we get here is exactly the same as we've seen in the previous 13 episodes, but then we get a random cliffhanger out of nowhere. A cliffhanger that will never to be resolved.

It's interesting to note the episode is called "Destiny Unleashed, Part One," as it was originally slated to be the lead-in for the next season. But, to be blunt, the cliffhanger is so poorly done and rushed that I really don't that it'll never got resolved. The whole Synoptic storyline was never explained so this cliffhanger just falls flat.

Overall, the series isn't as terrible like I originally thought it was back when I first laid eyes upon it. The truth is that ... it's still not a good show. After watching the series in its entirety, I have full confidence in saying that it's one of the worst versions of Spider-Man I've ever seen. It seems like the show was trying to make him more like his normal, comic book self, but were unable to do so because he's stuck on an alien planet.

If you're curious about this show, give it a try. Just be prepared not to get anything really satisfying out of it. Watching this just makes me wish we got more of Spider-Man: The Animated Series.
