Uhley on Static Shock's "She-Bang"
by Jim Harvey

Kids' WB will air an all-new episode of Static Shock this weekend, introducing a new superhero called "She-Bang." Len Uhley was able to talk to Toon Zone about the episode of the same name.

"I think 'She-Bang' is going to be a fine episode and I encourage everyone to watch this coming Saturday," said Uhley. "As stated, I haven't seen the finished product. However, I hear from Alan Burnett, the supervising producer, that it is one of the better productions of the third season. It has lots of comedy as well as pathos, and it is chock full of action, especially in the third act – think Con-Air."

The episode showcases a sassy new female superhero who shows him up every time they meet. She-Bang is a fun, energetic character who is adding some spice to the series.

"The character of She-Bang was great fun to write, particularly the friction between her and Static," said Uhley. "I can't go into too much detail on her personal dilemma, since it is a major plot point, but suffice to say that she had a very unusual upbringing which comes back to haunt her and those she holds most dear."
