This episode was enjoyable in several aspects--one it showed another
Livewire-type villian, only this time it was a fire-thrower, plus the
animation was pretty darn good and on top of that, the VA for Volcana
was excellent. Peri Gilpin really made the character sound like she
looked, and it was really refreshing to hear after some of the more
disappointing voices.
The plot revolves around Volcana coming back, trying to fence some
stolen items to her old "friends" and getting caught in the process.
It's later revealed Volcana was an experiment and they wanted to
"experiment" more on her, only this time Superman was there to stop it.
A big fight (with lots of fire) ensues and the episode ends with Volcana
on a far away beach and Superman bringing her food. After all, how would
he could her in a prison?
As stated above, the voice actors in this episode were great, along with
the short role played by the Paranormal doctor and his love for root
beer floats. Definitely a great episode for the beginning of STAS's
third season.
