I love reviewing this show. I really do. Whether I'm reviewing brilliant episodes like Episode 257-494 or utter poop like Titans East, Part One, I've really enjoyed it. Whether I'm explaining how much I loved this episode or trying to figure out where it went wrong, I usually thoroughly enjoy reviewing this show. Then, every once in a while, you get an episode like this… were I don't know what the hell to say.

Perhaps it's because of the fact that the mid season breaks mean I haven't reviewed an episode for months, but I doubt it. Mainly, it's because I still haven't decided if this was a good episode or not yet. The main problem, or perhaps its greatest charm, is the fact it spent 15 minutes going nowhere and then suddenly started whooping ass. I mean, really, whooping ass.

The fight scene at the end was utterly fantastic, watching Raven completely destroy Slade was something I'd never thought I'd see, and has left me eagerly awaiting the follow up. I was expecting the conclusion to stay at the same level as the build up, considering the quality was consistent throughout the episode at this point but man!

As said above, the first 15 minutes of the episode did a lot of explaining. The library, the staircases, those weird ghost things and a rather flat introduction to Raven's mother and her home world ate up a lot of time, but none of it was as captivating as its last few minutes. At some points it felt like the scenes with Robin and co were literally there to waste time up until we got to the good stuff.

The season seems to be building up to some huge blow out with Raven and her Dad, and I'll admit, I'm interested in seeing where this is going. The thing that really got me going is what Slade is after? Could Terra be coming back? Is it something to do with Robin?

In short, Teen Titans is back with a bang… even if it did take a helluva long time getting there!
