The Main Man of DC Comics headlined his own mature-rated online animated cartoon, created and released around the same time as the first season of the Gotham Girls online web-series! Produced by Boyd Kirkland, Lobo was a TV-MA-rated webseries which debuted July 2000 at the now-defunct www.loboonline.com. The online series focused on the infamous deeds of the intergalactic bounty hunter, and was packed-full with trong language, sexual content and graphic violence.
And despite the presence of regular contributors to Batman: The Animated Series, Lobo did not take place in the same universe, but instead exists alongside with it (Repeat: Lobo does not take place in the DCAU). Even cast members who appeared in other assorted cartoons inspired by DC Comics were featured here. Here, Lobo was voiced by Greg Eagles and Kevin Michael Richardson.
Lobo aired online from June 15th, 2000 to October 2000, debuting new episodes on a monthly basis at the now-defunct www.loboonline.com. The series survived for awhile after its final episode aired before the website was eventually shuttered within a few years. The Lobo web-series has never been collected or released on physical or digital media, nor made available through any streaming or video platform.
