Batman confronts new enemies, old foes and painful memories when a powerful vigilante with a penchant for violence comes to Gotham City in the intense graphic-novel-come-to-life
Batman: Under the Red Hood, the next entry in the popular ongoing series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies coming July 27, 2010 from Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation. The full-length film will be distributed by Warner Home Video as a Special Edition version on Blu-Ray and 2 disc DVD for $29.99 (SRP) and $24.98 (SRP), respectively, as well as single disc DVD for $19.98 (SRP). The film will also be available On Demand and for Download.
The stellar voice cast has Bruce Greenwood (Captain Pike in the 2009 blockbuster Star Trek) donning the famed cowl as the voice of Batman. Supernatural star Jensen Ackles is Red Hood, and Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) voices Nightwing. John DiMaggio (Futurama) and Jason Issacs (the Harry Potter films) round out the main cast as The Joker and Ras Al Ghul, respectively.
Batman: Under the Red Hood is scripted by award-winning comics writer Judd Winick and based on his popular 2005 comics storyline and subsequent comics graphic novel of the same name. Animation guru Bruce Timm returns as executive producer, as he has for all eight DC Universe animated original movies. Director is Brandon Vietti, who served as co-director of Superman Doomsday and was responsible for the first one-third of that film, including the fatal battle between the two title characters.
In Batman: Under the Red Hood, Batman faces his ultimate challenge as the mysterious Red Hood takes Gotham City by firestorm. One part vigilante, one part criminal kingpin, Red Hood begins cleaning up Gotham with the efficiency of Batman, but without following the same ethical code. Killing is an option. And when The Joker falls in the balance between the two, hard truths are revealed and old wounds are reopened.
Fans will be treated to an incredible package of DC Universe storytelling as the Special Edition Blu-Ray and 2-Disc Special Edition DVD include the second animated short in the all-new DC Showcase series which features the popular DC Comics character, Jonah Hex. The short is scripted by renowned author Joe Lansdale and stars the voices of Thomas Jane (Hung), Linda Hamilton (The Terminator), Michelle Trachtenberg (Mercy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Michael Rooker (Days of Thunder).

Second Season Of “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Coming To Teletoon Fall 2010

A representative for Teletoon has confirmed new episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold will return to the network come Fall 2010. The episodes will include 26 installments of the animated series new to the Canadian network. This will include Batman: The Brave and The Bold episodes “Chill of the Night!,” “Aquamans Outrageous Adventures!,” “The Super-Batman From Planet X!,” “Sidekicks Assemble!,” and more. The second season of Batman: The Brave and The Bold is set to premiere on Teletoon tentatively beginning in September 2010.
Additionally, Teletoon is expected to host more Canadian broadcast premieres from the popular DC Universe Animated Original Movies direct-to-video feature line from Warner Home Video later this year.

WaterTower Music Label Releasing “Batman: Under The Red Hood” Score Soundtrack
Batman: Under the Red Hood, DC Universe Animated Original Movie, Music & Soundtracks
WaterTower Music is currently slated to handle the soundtrack score release for the upcoming DC Universe Animated Original Movie title Batman: Under the Red Hood. Official press details for the soundtrack will be made available in the coming months. The soundtrack score release is expected to be made available on compact disc and through digital download day and date with the home video release of the animated feature, scheduled for Summer 2010. As previously reported by The Worlds Finest, Christopher Drake will be providing the music for Batman: Under the Red Hood.
WaterTower Music handled the soundtrack score releases for the recent DC Universe Animated Original Movie titles Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, making separate compact disc and digital download copies available for both titles. Please note these details and conditions are subject to change, and any alterations will be reported.

“Young Justice” Animated Series Officially Announced at Cartoon Network 2010 Upfronts

Cartoon Network revealed their plans for the 2010-2011 television season, including early details on the new Young Justice animated series. The new animated series was officially announced to premiere during the 2010 – 2011 season on Cartoon Network at Cartoon Network’s annual Advertising Upfront presentation at New Yorks Time Warner Center, held today, April 21st, 2010. The show, scheduled to premiere during the 2010 – 2011 season, is greenlit for at least 26 half-hour episodes. Below is the first official promo image for the series.

This will bring the episode order for the popular animated series up to 65 episodes.
The network is expected to announce further details on upcoming episodes. New episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold will resume Summer 2010.

A representative for Cartoon Network has confirmed that new episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold will return to the network in Summer 2010. The network just completed airing a block of new episodes of the top-rated animated series. Expect repeats for the remainder of April, and well into June 2010, before new episodes of Batman: The Brave and The Bold premiere later in the season. The series is expected to return with a special two-part episode.

Third Season Episodes Of Classic “Justice League Unlimited” Airing On Boomerang
Boomerang, DC Animated Universe, Justice League
Returning to the network earlier this month, Boomerang is currently airing episodes from the third season of the acclaimed Justice League Unlimited animated series. Justice League Unlimited was a regular feature on the Boomerang schedule during 2009 until the series took a hiatus from the network. After a brief stint back on Cartoon Network, Boomerang has returned the fan-favorite animated to regular rotation in early April 2010. Justice League Unlimited currently airs Monday Sunday at 11:00pm (ET), immediately followed by The Batman at 11:30pm (ET).
Boomerang is currently cycling through episodes from the third season of Justice League Unlimited, though a representative for the network states all 39 episodes of episodes will be aired in regular rotation shortly. Schedule details are subject to change, however. Below is a schedule of Justice League Unlimited episodes slated to air on Boomerang for the remainder of April 2010.
