Below are the total estimated sales numbers for the animated comics that shipped in October 2008.
The Batman Strikes! #50 – 6,413
Legion of Super Heroes In The 31st Century #19 – 5,613
The Batman Strikes experienced a slight dip with the release of its fiftieth and final issue. The Batman Strikes #50, the last of the series, featured Batman teaming up with The Demon in a Halloween-themed tale. 2008 saw the cancellation of every major animated titles printed by DC Comics. Justice League Unlimited and Teen Titans Go! were both cancelled earlier this year by DC Comics, releasing their respective final issues within weeks of each other, and the final issue of Legion of Super Heroes In The 31st Century was released in November 2008. DC Comics has no plans to currently revisit these titles in the near future, with the exception of possible collection releases in 2009.
The next animated-inspired comic title, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, will hit shelves in January 2009.
Cartoon Network has released images for the next new episode of Batman: The Brave and The Bold, titled “Invasion of the Secret Santas!.” The new episode will air this Friday at 8pm (ET) on Cartoon Network. The episode introduces Red Tornado and the villainous Fun Haus to the action-packed series. The character of Red Tornado will be a recurring hero and will be voiced by award-winning Corey Burton (Superman: The Animated Series), while Gary Anthony Williams (Boston Legal, Reno 911!) guest stars as Fun Haus.

“Invasion of the Secret Santas” In this weeks episode, the evil Fun Haus plans to steal Christmas with his army of robot Santas and killer toys including Dynamite Dolly and the Presto Play Pals! Red Tornado teams up with Batman to save the day and in the process, finds his holiday spirit. In our weekly teaser, Batman and Blue Beetle throw Sportsmaster a perfect strike when he sets up a deadly game with human bowling pins at the alley!
Batman: The Brave and The Bold “Invasion of the Secret Santas!” airs this Friday at 8pm (ET) on Cartoon Network.

DC UNIVERSE ANIMATED ORIGINAL MOVIE WONDER WOMAN TO PREMIERE FEBRUARY 6, 2009 AT NEW YORK COMIC CON
Big Screen Debut Precedes March 3, 2009 Street Date for Availability on DVD, Blu-ray, OnDemand, Pay-Per-View & Digital Download
Wonder Woman, the highly-anticipated fourth entry in the DC Universe animated original movie series, will receive a big screen premiere at New York Comic Con on February 6, 2009 in the IGN Theater at the Javits Center. The 8:30 p.m. screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring members of the film’s cast and crew.
Presented by Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Animation and DC Comics, the all-new Wonder Woman animated original movie will be distributed by Warner Home Video on March 3, 2009. Wonder Woman will be available as a Single Disc DVD, 2-Disc Special Edition DVD and Blu-ray Disc. The animated original movie will also be available OnDemand and Pay-Per-View, as well as available for download day and date, March 3, 2009.
Produced by the multiple Emmy(R) Award winning animation legend Bruce Timm, Wonder Woman is an origin story and features a stellar celebrity voice cast including Keri Russell (Waitress, Felicity), Nathan Fillion (Desperate Housewives), Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2), Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Rosario Dawson (Sin City), Oliver Platt (The West Wing) and David McCallum (NCIS).

The Superman: Last Son of Krypton feature, comprised of the first three episodes of Superman: The Animated Series that kicked off the critically-acclaimed series, is scheduled to air Saturday, December 13th, 2008 at 10:00pm (ET). The official description of the feature is seen below.
Superman: The Last Son Of Krypton Survivor of distant, destroyed Planet Krypton, young Clark Kent grows to manhood on Earth, aware of super powers he vows to use for the benefit of his adopted planet. Moving to Metropolis, Clark becomes a reporter at the Daily Planet – and a rival of star journalist Lois Lane.
