In Lego DC Comics Super Heroes – The Flash, Reverse-Flash manipulates the Speed Force to put The Flash into a time loop that forces him to relive the same day over and over again – with progressively disastrous results, including losing his powers and being fired by the Justice League. The Flash must find a way to restore time to its original path and finally apprehend his worst enemy before all is lost for The Flash … and the world!
Along the route, The Flash encounters numerous new characters being introduced to the popular DC Super Heroes series, including The Atom; B’dg, a squirrel-esque Green Lantern; a pair of legendary super pets in Ace the Bat-Hound and Krypto the Super-Dog, Batman and Superman’s faithful canine pals; as well as Aquaman’s trusted seahorse, Storm.

First Clip From “Batman: Gotham By Gaslight” Released
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has released the first clip from the upcoming Batman: Gotham by Gaslight animated feature. The DC Universe Original Movie title will be available from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on Digital starting January 23, 2018, and on Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD February 6, 2018. Additionally, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment also announced that the World Premiere of Batman: Gotham By Gaslight will be part of the upcoming “DC in D.C.” weekend event. The premiere – on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 6:30–9:15pm – will kick off the special pop culture gathering, which brings together the worlds of entertainment and public service to illuminate the story of America and current issues through the lens of comics and Super Heroes. “Batman Ninja” Poster, Trailer Released By Warner Bros. Japan
Warner Bros. Japan and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment have released the first trailer and poster for the forthcoming Batman Ninja animated feature, slated for a 2018 release. The content was officially released during Tokyo Comic-Con, along with details on the Japanese cast and crew. While the cast for the English dub of the upcoming feature has not yet been announced, Warner Bros. Japan announced the Japanese casts will include Kouichi Yamadera as Batman, Wataru Takagi as Joker, Ai Kakuma as Catwoman and Rie Kugimiya as Harley Quinn. Additional cast details will be announced in the future.
Junpei Mizusaki is the film’s director, with Kazuki Nakashima the screenwriter and Takashi Okazaki handling character designer. Additional Batman Ninja creators include Kamikaze Douga, English-language screenwriters Leo Chu and Eric Garcia and Yuugo Kanno, who is providing the score.
Warner Bros. also announced an official website and Twitter account for the upcoming project, which are accessible by clicking here and here. Batman Ninja is expected to have a heavy social media presence leading up to it’s release next year. The upcoming animated movie was first revealed at at New York Comic-Con 2017.

“Harley Quinn” Animated Series Heading To DC Digital Service
Warner Bros., via Warner Bros. Digital Networks Group, issued a straight-to-series order for a Harley Quinn animated comedy, which is slated to be part of it’s upcoming DC Comics-themed digital platform. Initial details state the 26-episode series will be spearheaded by producers Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker and Dean Lorey, who previously worked on Powerless. The animated series will be heavily inspired by the Harley Quinn character currently featured in the DC Comics title of the same name.
The animated series will also feature Poison Ivy and a cast of assorted heroes and villains from around the DC universe. The animated series follows Harley as she breaks things off with the Joker and attempts to make it on her own as the criminal “queenpin” of Gotham City. Sam Register, president of Warner Bros. Animation and Warner Digital Series, will be one of the executive producers. Jennifer Coyle also produces with Halpern and Schumacker’s Ehsugadee Productions in association with Warner Bros. Animation.
Additional details will be released in 2018, along with a first look at the animated series and further details concerning the show’s cast and crew. The role of Harley Quinn is currently not cast, but Warner Bros. is expected to approach Margot Robbie, who played the character in 2016’s live-action Suicide Squad feature, to reprise the role.
Harley Quinn will join the upcoming Young Justice: Outsiders revival and the live-action Titans on DC’s forthcoming digital platform, which is set to be revealed in 2018. Stay tuned for select coverage in the coming months right here at The World’s Finest.

“Batman And Harley Quinn” Comic Collection Coming March 2018
DC Comics has announced a special hardcover collection of the recent Batman and Harley and Harley and Batman digital comic titles, based on the 2017 Batman and Harley Quinn DC Universe Original Movie title, will hit shelves in March 2018. The twelve issues digital comic series featured a five-part Harley Quinn and Batman prequel segment, covering events leading up to the animated movie, and a seven-part Batman and Harley Quinn sequel segment exploring the film’s fallout. Super sleuths Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma join forces with the world’s greatest detective, Batman, when they discover that villains from both of their respective rogues’ galleries have also combined efforts to terrorize the city. With Scooby snacks in tow, the crime-fighting teams encounter classic Batman foes (Joker, Catwoman, Riddler, Penguin, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn) and allies (The Question, Aquaman, Plastic Man, Martian Manhunter) along with a bevy of fiends from Scooby-Doo lore (Spooky Space Kook, Gentleman Ghost, Miner 49er, Ghost Clown). Avid Scooby-Doo fans know this isn’t the first time the Caped Crusader has partnered with Mystery Incorporated. Forty-five years ago, Batman (and Robin) were the featured guest stars in a pair of The New Scooby-Doo Movies. Premiering in 1972, the renowned detectives worked to solve crimes together in the hour-long television movies entitled The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair and The Caped Crusader Caper.
Diedrich Bader, who voiced the Dark Knight in the fan-favorite Batman: The Brave and the Bold animated television series, reprises his role for this all-new film alongside the longtime Scooby-Doo voice cast of Frank Welker (Scooby-Doo & Fred), Grey Griffin (Daphne and Black Canary), Matthew Lillard (Shaggy) and Kate Micucci (Velma). The guest cast includes Jeff Bennett (Joker), Jeffrey Combs (The Question), John DiMaggio (Aquaman), Nika Futterman (Catwoman), Nicholas Guest (Martian Manhunter), John Michael Higgins (The Riddler), Tom Kenny (Penguin, Plastic Man), Kevin Michael Richardson (Detective Chimp), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy) and Fred Tatasciore (Harvey Bullock).

In short, the animated movie is a great film which continues the innate brilliance of the original 1960s Batman series while also playing with the formula. Adding some noir-ish trappings to the movie really creates a unique experience, and there’s just enough of it sprinkled in that it never overpowers the very deliberate zany tones of the source material.
