Bird Boy (BB): Hooray Epilogue
Bleu Unicorn (Bleu): 65 eh?
BB: Man, Timm's taking no prisoners with that date thing
BB: Interesting. Guard looks like McDuffie
Bleu: Yeah.
BB: Sideburny
Bleu: Does Waller not know anything?
BB: It should be noted we've seen this episode before
Bleu: We have...
BB: I'm not talking to you, dear
BB: ultra widescreen
Bleu: Daydreamer.
BB: old crotchy wayne
Bleu: Bruce with tons of black eyeliner...what's up with that?
Bleu: He's all....sunken-in-eyed, it's freaky.
BB: he just has a lot holes in his head
Bleu: His scar on his face is more pronounced.
BB: Terry probably punched him
Bleu: He's moody like that. ;)
BB: Angela Chen!
Bleu: I still say Dana has to be the most patient girlfriend ever...fifteen years and no ring.
Bleu: The music here just breaks my heart.
BB: Yeah
BB: I like the two conversations going on
Bleu: Yeah.
BB: Apparently this Mad Stan / Parasite
BB: is Parasite 2.0 in the comics, so it's based on something
Bleu: Oh.
Bleu: I'm ignorant in this respect.
Bleu: JLU theme music
BB: yeah someone told me that, I think it was Borg
BB: Indeed it is. I hadn't noticed...
Bleu: Ah.
Bleu: Batman Beyond here.
BB: classic Batman Beyond coming up
BB: I think it's on the soundtrack they released for it
BB: one line of it anyway
Bleu: Inequity Collective...that is such a stuck up gang name
BB: you know super villains...egotistical
Bleu: I want a vacuum like that, just for the record.
BB: kidneys failed. All that boozing
Bleu: Yeah...
BB: They make mowers like that. They should be able to do a sweeper
BB: or probably do. Sharper Image...
Bleu: There's one on Amazon
BB: so if Warren always provided for him
Bleu: Harley's costume is in the Rogue's Gallery Collection there.
Bleu: I find this amusing.
BB: I don't quite get that
BB: did Matt and Terry never go visit with their father
Bleu: Terry lived with Warren....
Bleu: Remember?
BB: I wasn't sure if that was just a weekend thing or not
BB: the way he said "mom would hear me out!"
Bleu: I'd assume Terry would have already had a room at his mom's in that case.
BB: ah right
BB: good Alzheimer’s joke here
Bleu: I haven't watched "Rebirth" in years, though so my memory could be spotty.
Bleu: Yeah.
BB: here comes the flashback
BB: Hynden!
Bleu: This is my favorite part of this episode I think...well part of the flashback at least.
BB: Shaky camera again...
BB: need to stop that...
Bleu: Something is just wrong with a villain that attacks you with hair.
Bleu: Yeah, it was cool at first....getting overused and old....
BB: jerky helicopter landing
Bleu: I have to wonder what this "weapon" is....
BB: Dana is Dr. Light. Amazing
Bleu: Looks like a boom tube controller with a thingy coming out of it.
Bleu: And GL!
BB: probably some neuro-shock thing
BB: it's got this pokey thing
Bleu: Shayera's apparently got no problem with killing again....
Bleu: She's the first to grab the thing.
BB: a lot of people on the league don't
Bleu: This is just....so amazing....
BB: main seven...Question already tried to kill luthor
BB: neat pan and stop and pan again
BB: Love Hynden's voicework...
Bleu: Yeah.
Bleu: She's great here.
BB: she's kind of adult. Unless she's older looking than she looks here
Bleu: This little bit of animation with Batman sitting and holding his cape and Ace wiping her nose...I really love the subtlety of it.
BB: yeah
Bleu: Queen's a, well, queen.
BB: draggy
BB: apparently Jack was a caricature of Phil LaMarr
Bleu: Batman sad is heart wrenching to see.
Bleu : Oh? Interesting.
Bleu: The big "omg!wtf!" moment.
Bleu: Well, one of them.
BB: crazy woman
Bleu: Obsessed with Batman....
Bleu: She definitely idolizes him.
BB: notie emphasis on "body"
BB: she wants him
Bleu: Oh yeah.
Bleu: Who wouldn't ;)
BB: great shot
BB: I love reflections in windows
Bleu: Yup.
Bleu: Me too.
BB: project Batman Beyond...brilliant...
Bleu: Best. Joke. Ever.
BB: messy DNA leaver
Bleu: And it was inadvertent, too.
BB: I don't quite get that scene
BB: Warren and Mary pause to kiss
BB: and then continue walking
BB: who just pauses randomly in the street
BB: Grey Ghost!
Bleu: Apparently a couple that share Thomas and Martha Wayne's psychological profile?
BB: love that poster...
BB: PHANTASM
Bleu: Yeah....apparently Grey Ghost uses guns?
BB: I hate how weird her claw looks
Bleu: Yeah.
BB: it goes from small to normal to big...
BB: well Grey Ghost of the future
Bleu: :)
Bleu: Ok....
BB: She must've watched Bruce for a long time to know all that about him
Bleu: I said she was obsessed!
BB: I know...But still
BB: giant bed woman
Bleu: Bruce looks more wrinkly here....
BB: Bruce acting like a dotty old parent...
Bleu: Or is it just me?
BB: he has less eye crap going on too
BB: hello On Leather Wings in reversal
Bleu: OLW-ness
Bleu: And Kevin's first line.
BB: seeing this almost makes me regret there's another season
Bleu: It's weird to cut off and go right to the credit music though.
BB: of course I want another season, but such a perfect ending
Bleu: Almost...
BB: yeah
Bleu: I think as a finale, I would have been satisfied with this.
BB: kind of like 24
BB: emotional ending
BB: then clock tick
BB: I was satisfied with Divided We Fall, to be honest
Bleu: But it is weird to know there's another season...not that I'm complaining, mind you.
BB: But in retrospect, after watching this
BB: I'm not
Bleu: Me too
Bleu: Yeah
Bleu : What I think makes this so special is that...well it's a happy ending for Bruce. And it's not a cheesy, cornball kind of happy either.
Bleu: It's just...it just is.
BB: Yeah
BB: and a happy ending for Terry, really
BB: he gets to marry his girlfriend
Bleu: Yup.
BB: assuming a super villain doesn't jump out of the bushes
BB: almost kind of sad though. Here Diana and Clark are probably aging extremely slowly and Bruce gets stuck with mortality
Bleu: Originally, in a more stupid time of ours, we thought the black-and-white scenes were actually flashbacks...and I've said since then that the episode makes so much more sense to me, knowing they didn't happen.
BB: not stupid! Just...wishful thinking
BB: seeing someone piss on Bruce is always great to see
BB: But since it IS just stuff Terry was considering...it still works. It works better, aside from that JLU bit
BB: why Terry would create a scenario where GL makes quips and everyone wishes he wouldn't leave
BB: just doesn't make much sense
Bleu: I don't know, I could imagine a superhero imagining him and others in battle when thinking about things. I guess it's the writer in me, I think more scenario...
BB: aside from being egotistical
BB: well I can see him imagining it. Big conversations, people often imagine how it will go to prepare for possible outcomes
Bleu: Well, I'm sure Terry likes to think he's important. That Batman is really needed, like he was back in the cape and cowl days.
BB: But swooping down from the sky, slapping Shriek and shattering his costume and then leaving is a bit of an odd way to tell your teammates you quit
Bleu: So, thus the "don't go" etc.
Bleu: True, But it looked cool!
BB: it did
BB: and the music cue it had was bad ass
Bleu: Yeah, I like Terry's daydreaming...he has good music in his head.
BB: yup. Music Lolita Ritmanis scored, no less
Bleu: And good animation, too.
BB: must be rich
Bleu: Or just plain lucky.
BB: nah, he's rich
Bleu: The music actually is really astonishing, though. I love how it tied BTAS, BB and JLU all together with the score. It was really great to hear.
BB: yeah
BB: they need to do a Lucas on On Leather Wings
BB: make Kevin the first person to talk
Bleu: Yeah.
Bleu: On Leather Wings: The Director's Cut / Special Edition
BB: But, still a great ending. I didn't know the batsuit coudl fly that high
Bleu: It could come out in two years for the 15th anniversary.
BB: then again, it's a slightly different suit
BB: it's bigger and such
Bleu: Yeah.
BB: probably amplified it
Bleu: New utility belt, too.
BB: was there? I didn't pay attention
Bleu: Yeah. Looks like a mesh between the old BB belt and Bruce's belt from JLU.
BB: interesting
BB: But yeah. great episode. Not much to find flaws in
BB: unless you didn't like the story
BB: then you could probably crap all over it
Bleu: Well, I loved it...so I have to agree. It was a spectacular episode.
BB: I think I'm out of things to say, so unless you have something else to add
Bleu: As a fan since the very beginning of BTAS, I really loved all of the cameos and references. It was just...eye-candy through and through.
Bleu: And yeah...I've run out of points to make. :)
BB: Yup. Like I said earlier...a great ending to the series. Hopefully when JLU ends, CN will air this again
BB: just to close it all off
Bleu: Yeah. That'd be spiffy.
BB: All righty, I guess that's it. Thanks for reading!
Bleu: Buh bye-ie!
