Spider-Man: The Animated Series Comic Guide

Spider-Man Adventures was the first comic book spin-off for the hit animated series. The first issue of the initial volume released in October 1994, it adapted the first season of the show over the course of thirteen issues. Spider-Man Adventures then started running original stories beginning with issue #14, but was relaunched with a new #1 as The Adventures of Spider-Man two issues later. As with the those final issues of Spider-Man Adventures, the second volume also featured original stories set in the same continuity as Spider-Man: The Animated Series. The Adventures of Spider-Man lasted until March 1997, less than a year before the final episode of Spider-Man: The Animated Series would air. Combining both runs, the spin-off comics lasted for over 25 issues before being cancelled and replaced with the non-canon Marvel Adventures series.
