During the 2018 New York Comic-Con, DC Comics announced it will publish a Young Justice: Outsiders prequel comic through its DC Universe streaming app. The comic, currently slated to be a single issue, will be written by Greg Weisman with art by Christopher Jones, both of whom worked on the original Young Justice animated spin-off comic series. Weisman also serves as a producer and writer for the Young Justice animated series.
The Young Justice: Outsiders prequel comic series will debut in 2019. DC Comics has yet to confirm if the comic will also be available in print or through other digital comics outlets. More details are expected to be announced in the near future.

Young Justice: Outsiders features the return of the fan favorite animated series with a huge cast of DC’s most iconic young superheroes – plus brand-new characters, many of whom are just discovering their unique meta-powers and special abilities. Set against the backdrop of a rich, deep world that touches all corners of the DC Universe, the season focuses on meta–trafficking, and an intergalactic arms race for control of these super–powered youths.
Young Justice: Outsiders premieres in January 2019 on the DC Universe streaming service, with new episodes spread out in two separate chunks during the year. Three episodes will debut each week.
