The DC Universe streaming service announced a January 4, 2019 debut for Young Justice: Outsiders, the third season of the critically-acclaimed animated series. A new teaser trailer promoting the release date of the DC Universe-exclusive series was also released. Young Justice: Outsiders picks up where the second season of Young Justice, titled Young Justice: Invasion left off, and finds The Team facing an intergalactic threat. Young Justice: Outsiders features the return of the fan favorite animated series with a huge cast of DC’s most iconic young superheroes – plus brand-new characters, many of whom are just discovering their unique meta-powers and special abilities. Set against the backdrop of a rich, deep world that touches all corners of the DC Universe, the season focuses on meta–trafficking, and an intergalactic arms race for control of these super–powered youths.
Young Justice: Outsiders premieres January 4, 2019 exclusively on the DC Universe streaming service. New episodes of the series will air in two separate multi-week blocks during the year, with three episodes to debut a week during those blocks. The first batch of episodes will debut in January 2019, with the second batch airing in June 2019. Additional details on the platform, including content and pricing, can be found here. The series is expected to debut in 2019 on Netflix in international markets, though no details are currently available.
