The second season of CW Seed’s animated series based on the classic DC Comics hero will premiere on Thursday, October 13, 2016. The season, like the previous season, will debut on CW Seed, The CW’s digital outlet service. The CW says Vixen‘s second season will find Vixen (voiced by Megalyn Echikunwoke) – who uses the mystical Tantu totem, a family heirloom, to channel the abilities of the animal kingdom – facing off off against a mysterious foe who has his own magical totem.

The second season will also feature appearances characters from The CW’s live-action DC Comics-inspired series Arrow, The Flash and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. Green Arrow (Stephen Amell), The Flash (Grant Gustin), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), Atom (Brandon Routh), Firestorm (Franz Drameh and Victor Garber) and Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) will all lend their voices. Vixen takes place in the same continuity established in the live-action super hero series which currently air on The CW.
Following the second series premiere of Vixen on October 13th, 2017, CW Seed will release new episodes every Friday on the digital outlet. The second season, like the first, will consist of six episodes running four-seven minutes in length. The CW announced the second season of Vixen back in January 2016.
