New “Young Justice,” “Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Episodes Airing September 2011

New episodes of both Batman: The Brave and The Bold and Young Justice are scheduled to premiere next month, September 2011, on Cartoon Network. After multiple delays, a block of new episodes for both acclaimed animated series is scheduled to kick off on September 16th, 2011, beginning with “Scorn of the Star Sapphire!” for Batman: The Brave and The Bold at 6:00pm (ET) and “Targets” for Young Justice at 6:30pm (ET). Both are long-awaited premieres. Further details on each episode can be found below.

Batman and Hal Jordan work to take down Green Lanterns greatest enemy, Star Sapphire. Hal Jordan is the only one who knows her secret identity.

Young Justice
Friday, September 16th, 2011 at 6:30pm (ET) – “#10 Targets”

Red Arrows battle to prevent the League of Shadows from inciting a war, pits him against the worlds most dangerous assassins and allies him with someone more dangerous still. Too bad Aqualad couldnt convince him to ask the team for help

“Batman: The Brave And The Bold – Season Two, Part One” DVD Release Now Available

Collecting the first twelve episodes from the show’s second season, the two-disc Batman: The Brave and The Bold – Season Two, Part One DVD collection is the latest home video release for the acclaimed Batman: The Brave and The Bold animated series. This is the first of two planned DVD releases to collect the entire 26-episode second season of Batman: The Brave and The Bold. Released by Warner Home Video, Batman: The Brave and The Bold – Season Two, Part One is now available to own at all retail and online outlets. Warner Home Video is tentatively scheduled to release a new Batman: The Brave and The Bold home video title in the first quarter of 2012, with details set to be revealed in the coming months, though timetable details are subject to change.

Batman: Arkham City to Support Stunning Stereoscopic 3D on Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and PC

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today announced Batman: Arkham City will be playable in stereoscopic and anaglyphic 3D for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation3 computer entertainment system and NVIDIA 3D Vision PCs. Batman: Arkham City is scheduled for release beginning October 18 in North America, October 19 in Australia and October 21 in Europe and other global territories.

Gamers on Xbox 360 and PS3 can delve deep into Arkham Citys breathtaking environments and immersive gameplay in stereoscopic 3D when playing on any 3D HDTV and wearing active shutter glasses that are compatible with the television. In addition, Batman: Arkham City supports NVIDIA 3D Vision technology, allowing PC players to also experience the action in stereoscopic 3D on GeForce GPU-equipped desktop or notebook PCs and compatible 3DTVs.

Fans with HDTVs can enjoy Batman: Arkham City in anaglyphic 3D with technology compatible with all high definition TV sets and visible to players wearing 3D glasses available for the video game.

“Green Lantern: The Animated Series” Comic Debuts November 2011, Other Solicitations

DC Comics has released comic solicitation information for the publisher’s November 2011 library of releases, revealing an all-new comic series based on the upcoming Cartoon Network CGI-animated series Green Lantern: The Animated Series is set to launch that month. The series will explore the background of the characters featured in the forthcoming animated series. Art Baltazar and Franco, late of the Young Justice comic series also published by DC Comics, will write the series. Dario Brizuela, who recently worked on the Justice League Adventures, will provide the artwork for the new comic title. Continue below for further details and click the image for a closer look.

GREEN LANTERN: THE ANIMATED SERIES #0

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have released a new trailer and details for the upcoming video game Gotham City Imposters. This new upcoming title is a first-person shooter which takes place within Gotham City, featuring two warring gangs. Gotham City Impostors is scheduled for release Winter 2012 and will be available on Xbox LIVE Arcade, PlayStation Network, and for PC download. Click on the image below to view the trailer.

Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment unveil an all-new trailer for the upcoming download-only multiplayer first-person shooter, Gotham City Impostors. Featuring a look at the target-neutralizing Hatchet and the enemy-battering Bear Trap, this trailer showcases just a few of the games customization options and gives a glimpse at how crazy players can make their Jokerz and how buff they can make their Bats. Also, this week marks the reveal of the newly redesigned Gotham City Impostors website at www.gothamcityimpostors.com.

Gotham City Impostors, a multiplayer game unlike any other, gives players the opportunity to rebel against conformity as they customize their own characters. Posing as amateur vigilantes or villains, gamers will create their very own Bats and Jokerz characters using unprecedented customization options including insane costumes, homebrewed gadgets and a wide range of traditional and imagined weapons. The game will feature maps and modes inspired by DC Comics Batman license.

Early Details Released For Upcoming “Young Justice” Trade Paperback Comic Collection

DC Comics has released preliminary details on the first trade collection for the Young Justice comic title, the series based on the acclaimed animated series of the same name, set for a January 2012 release. This is the first collection for the Young Justice comic series.

The first seven issues of the ongoing Young Justice comic series, published by DC Comics and based on the popular Cartoon Network series, are set to be included in this initial Young Justice – Volume One trade release. The issues collected are currently slated to be #0 – 6, featuring four tales taking place in continuity with the animated series.

The collection features stories written by Art Balazar and Franco, with artwork by Mike Norton and Christopher Jones.

While an exact street date has not been set, Young Justice – Volume One is set to hit shelves in January 2012. Please note that name is also temporary, and will likely change before the final product and street date details are released by DC Comics. Further details should be made available by DC Comics shortly.
