DC Comics has released comic solicitation information for the publisher’s November 2011 library of releases, revealing an all-new comic series based on the upcoming Cartoon Network CGI-animated series Green Lantern: The Animated Series is set to launch that month. The series will explore the background of the characters featured in the forthcoming animated series. Art Baltazar and Franco, late of the Young Justice comic series also published by DC Comics, will write the series. This new upcoming title is a first-person shooter which takes place within Gotham City, featuring two warring gangs. DC Comics has released preliminary details on the first trade collection for the Young Justice comic title, the series based on the acclaimed animated series of the same name, set for a January 2012 release. This is the first collection for the Young Justice comic series.
The first seven issues of the ongoing Young Justice comic series, published by DC Comics and based on the popular Cartoon Network series, are set to be included in this initial Young Justice – Volume One trade release. The issues collected are currently slated to be #0 – 6, featuring four tales taking place in continuity with the animated series.
The collection features stories written by Art Balazar and Franco, with artwork by Mike Norton and Christopher Jones.
While an exact street date has not been set, Young Justice – Volume One is set to hit shelves in January 2012. Please note that name is also temporary, and will likely change before the final product and street date details are released by DC Comics. Further details should be made available by DC Comics shortly.
