“Young Justice” Comic Sales Steady, “The All-New Batman: The Brave And The Bold” Rises

Details on estimated comics sold to North American comic shops during February 2012 have been made available, including sale numbers for the comic titles inspired by the acclaimed Young Justice and Batman: The Brave and The Bold animated series. DC Comics released Young Justice #13 and Batman: The Brave and The Bold #16 in February 2012. Sales numbers for both titles are below.

The All-New Batman: The Brave and The Bold #16 moved an estimated 7,100 copies to North American comic book stores during the month of February 2012. The comic title has been experiencing a sizable upswing in sales during the last few months of its run, with the title selling nearly 6% more issues than the month before – 7,100 compared to 6,825. Sales have been on an upswing since both the “all-Robin” Batman: The Brave and the Bold issue #13 sold out in addition to writer Sholly Fisch starting to contribute to the DC Comics Action Comics flagship title. The All-New Batman: The Brave and The Bold #16 was the final issue of the highly-acclaimed comic series.

The February 2012 issue of Young Justice, issue #13, sold an estimated 7,235 copies to comic shops in North America. The title has been holding very level for the past three months, with a fluctuation of roughly 1% – positive and negative – from issue to issue. The title’s direct tie-ins to the storylines of the Young Justice animated series have brought a consistent audience to the comic. Please note these numbers do not take into account copies appearing on newsstands or sold digitally.
