The critically-acclaimed classic series is a regular part of the block, airing Saturday mornings on The CW network. “Beware The Batman” and “Teen Titans Go!” Score 2013 Annie Award Nominations

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood announced the nominations and award recipients for the 41st Annual Annie Awards earlier this week, with some DC Comics-highlighted projects garnering nods. Both animated series Beware The Batman and Teen Titans Go!, which debuted this year as part of the DC Nation programming block, nabbed nominations for the 41st Annual Annie Awards. The 2013 Annie Award winners will be announced at the Annie Awards ceremony on Saturday, February 1st, 2014, at UCLAs Royce Hall, in Los Angeles, CA. Cartoon Network has provided The World’s Finest with new stills and a clip from the upcoming Teen Titans Go! episode “Second Christmas,” airing Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at 7:30pm (ET/PT). The half-hour comedy/adventure series – which features two 15-minute tales – airs Wednesdays at 7:30pm (ET/PT) on Cartoon Network, with rebroadcasts airing during the DC Nation programming block Saturday and Sunday mornings at 9:30am (ET/PT). Please note the new story “Second Christmas” will be paired with a re-airing of a previously-aired 15-minute tale. Package Artwork For Assorted “Justice League: War” Home Video Releases, Including Special Edition DVD

Warner Home Video has released a back cover artwork for the Blu-ray and DVD home video releases of the upcoming direct-to-video Justice League: War animated feature. The package artwork features plot and special features details for each edition of the release, and confirms the release of a Justice League: War – Two-Disc Special Edition DVD title. Hitting shelves February 4th, 2014 courtesy of Warner Home Video, Justice League: War is an adaptation of the “Justice League: Origin” storyline recently published by DC Comics. Written by Geoff Johns with artwork by Jim Lee and Scott Williams, the storyline kicked off the comic publisher’s current ongoing “The New 52” comic-line initiative. Justice League: War features the formation of the Justice League and the team’s first battle with Darkseid. Click on the thumbnails below for a closer look at the package artwork, which includes a look at the single-disc DVD, Two-Disc Special Edition, and Blu-ray titles.


Please note that while the single-disc DVD and Blu-ray Combo Pack release of Justice League: War is slated for February 4th, 2013, the Two-Disc Special Edition DVD release will hit six weeks later on March 18th, 2013. Justice League: War – Two-Disc Special Edition DVD release features a preview of Batman and Son, the “Deconstructing War with Jay Oliva and Jim Lee” featurette, the Justice League Unlimited episode “Destroyer” and the Batman: The Brave and The Bold episode “The Malicious Mr. Mind.

Main cast details for Justice League: War include Alan Tudyk as Superman, Jason O’Mara as Batman, Michelle Monaghan as Wonder Woman, Justin Kirk as Green Lantern, Christopher Gorham as The Flash, Shemar Moore as Cyborg, Sean Astin as Shazam, George Newburn as Steve Trevor, and Steve Blum as Darkseid. Jay Oliva is directing Justice League: War, with Heath Corson adapting the original “Justice League: Origin” comic book storyline.
