DC Studios, Warner Bros. Animation and Max has released the first official trailer for Creature Commandos, the upcoming DC Comics-inspired animated series set to debut Dec. 5 2024 on the Max streaming service. DC Studios co-chief James Gunn wrote all seven episodes of the adult-skewing cartoon, which is the first project released as part of DC Studio’s previously-announced long-term and interconnected super-hero universe plans. Creature Commandos tracks a secret team of incarcerated monsters recruited for missions deemed too dangerous for humans. When all else fails… they’re your last, worst option.
Creature Commandos is written and executive produced by James Gunn, and additional executive producers include Peter Safran, Dean Lorey, and Sam Register; Rick Morales serves as a supervising producer. The cast for Creature Commandos includes Steve Agee as Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoe Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as GI Robot & Weasel, David Harbour as Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Dr. Phosphorus, Indira Varma as The Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.
DC Studio, Warner Bros. Animation and Max previously released a teaser trailer for Creature Commandos back in July 2024 followed by initial press details in Sept. 2024.
