After last years incredibly poor Justice League release, I dreaded the video quality on this disc; I’m happy to say that there’s no reason to fear it this time around-it’s gorgeous. There’s still some minor interlacing going on, but for the most part it’s been kept at bay—compared to what “Paradise Lost” was sporting, “Brave and the Bold” is gold.

Elsewhere the disc can stumble. The special features are nice, but again, in short supply. Commentaries would be too much to ask for, so what little information was dropped about “Brave and the Bold” (“Injustice For All” got to be the storyboard example for the disc) was fun to hear about. In addition to Bruce Timm, we got words from Dwayne
McDuffie, Dan Riba and James Tucker, which was nice to see some of the other faces that make Justice League tick.

The release, like this review, was short. They honestly could up it to six episodes a disc with no problem, but they make more money this way, so we’re stuck with paltry releases. I only hope when they get to season two they put it in widescreen…but I’m guessing that won’t happen.
