Beware The Batman
#3 - Tests

Original Airdate - July 27th, 2013
A new villain has come to town to challenge Batman for control of Gotham City: Anarky (Wallace Langham). Resembling a ghost image of Batman, Anarky prides himself on his brilliance – and intends to prove it to Batman by manipulating a pair of unsuspecting pawns to do his bidding. But Anarky's real plan is far more devastating: seeking to create a disaster seen by all of Gotham and proving once and for all that even the great Batman is powerless to protect his fair city from the clutches of Anarky.

Analysis by Yojimbo:

Wayne Manor is also surprisingly getting more and more interesting with each episode. First we saw where the secret elevator was and the security measures but now it seems there's multiple floors instead of a straight shoot to the Batcave. Some other cool highlights were Bruce talking about his training in Asia, the Batcycle and glider change up, Alfred button mashing, and use of Daedalus Boch and Junkyard Dog from the Arkham Asylum comic (even though the latter was a departure from the original).

References
*The chess motif was pretty neat in place of DCU references
*Daedalus and Junkyard attacking Castle Hardware. Castle being a defensive move in chess
*The checkboard floor
*Batman and Anarky - black and white
*Daedalus and Junkyard are pawns
*Chess Flower
*Alfred and Bruce playing chess
*Queen Street Gallery
*Anarky's line about Batman being a black knight and he a white king

Additional Comments
*In terms of Tatsu, I found myself more interested in her than Anarky and Batman's struggle (but Anarky calling Batman a tool was rather funny) because
*First appearance of her creepy Soul Taker sword
*"He's a geek, too" line
*The tried and true get a palm print trick
*Sneaking up on Bruce
