EPISODES - "TWIST"

Beware The Batman
#25 - Twist

Original Airdate - September 27th, 2014
With the true identity of Bad Batman revealed, Batman continues to work in secret to find answers while the world believes Bruce Wayne to be dead. Meanwhile, Harvey Dent recovers in Gotham Hospital – badly burned after his own encounter with Bad Batman. Although Dent blames Batman for destroying his chances to become Mayor, Anarky convinces him that all is not lost. Now scarred inside as well as out, Harvey takes matters into his own hand and enacts martial law, instructing the Gotham Police Department to hunt down Batman and bring him to justice ... dead or alive.

Another excellent episode. Dent's slow progression toward Two-Face is making for some intresting writing, and there was some good interaction between him and Anarky, and some neat and suspenseful scenes with them confronting the other mayoral candidates of Gotham City.

It was nice to see the Key again - I liked his previous appearance and, while this time he didn't put up such a good fight, he still had some good moments. Tying his forgery work with Dane Lisslow was a neat angle. Slade Wilson ... "Interesting", as Batman mentions. Also, an excellent trap for the Key, devised by Batman.

I also thought it was really interesting how Slade has a connection to Alfred. It led to some more background information on Alfred. It's always great to learn some more about what Alfred's been up to, especially during his absence from the show. And now that it ties to Deathstroke? That's pretty clever. The villain's motivation, that he wants to become a superior Batman to prove to Alfred what he's capable of, is also pretty interesting.

We also get an excellent build-up and revelation for this twist to the story. It's been an impressive story-arc, with the series of seemingly unrelated events all coming together quite nicely, and should make for a massive grand finale.
