Bio: Longtime friend of John Stewart, Rex Mason was just a business man working for his girlfriend's father, Simon Stagg. When Mason refused to do a job that Stagg asked him to do, Stagg had Mason be in a little "accident." This accident led him to become a shape-shifting "monster," and was originally told that it was Green Lantern who had done this to him, causing Mason to go after Green Lantern.
