| Review Sharon suspects Virgil in Static and is determined to prove it. Virgil's behavior has led Sharon to think there is something odd going on. She notices a plate Virgil has touched has become hot and Static uses a phrase she heard Virgil use earlier in the day. But the clincher is when she sees Static flying in the neighborhood and Richie calling for Static on the Shock Box. Meanwhile two mew Bang Babies have arrived in town, a brother and sister named Boom and Mirage. Boom is determined to pick Dakota clean and Mirage has reluctantly agreed to help him; after getting injured in a tussle with Static Mirage is taken to the hospital where Virgil tries to reason with her before Boom helps her escape. Meanwhile Sharon has followed Virgil to a concert to prove he is Static. I've always liked Sharon and have always thought her combative relationship with Virgil was funny. This episode ups it to the nth degree and is a lot of fun to watch. Even though it's aggravating sometimes one of the most fun things about the show is how Static is constantly in danger of revealing his secret identity. This isn't a problem any other DCAU hero tends to have that often and even though it can be exasperating how often the show uses it as a plotline I've always found it funny that Virgil is so horrible about keeping a secret. I also really like Boom. He is probably the craziest looking villain ever seen in the DCAU: he has a giant boom box sticking out of his chest…and his powers evolved that way after the Big Bang. I'm sorry, that is just so ludicrous that it's hilarious. I like this show because wacky things like that can happen. The animation was really good this episode. I thought the effects they used for Boom and Mirage's powers were very nice. All in all this was a good episode and a great character spotlight for Sharon.
