| Review This episode was great! I don’t know why people badmouth the show!
Everything from the new character Inque, to Bruce and Derek Powers meeting, to the trophy room in the Batcave with various villains’ costumes, to the use of the Gray Ghost mask, to the quick and smooth animation of Inque and even a bit of plot concerning Lucius Fox — everything was brilliant! It was also wonderful to see the new Batman’s relation with Bruce Wayne.
After his battle with Inque, his ranting about Bruce should have better prepared him was great. It’s the kind of talk that none of Batman’s other partners would have really given their master, but it shows that
Terry’s got guts. It was interesting to see Commissioner Barbara Gordon as well, especially her look of slight disapproval at the actions of the new
Batman and Bruce’s approval of this new vigilante. The animation was superb for Inque’s movements. They definitely spent time on her, and even kept it consistent. I thought that they’d just show her moving quickly for the first scene to impress the viewer, then move to cruddy animation for the rest of the episode because they couldn’t be bothered with the detail. Instead, the whole episode was filled with the beautiful animation. And Inque is hardly another
Clayface and previously described. The whole episode was a surprising treat. |
