| Review Another two-part episode…will Curse of the Kobra live up to the high standards set by Rebirth, and The Call? The episode opens up with a few Kobra agents stealing a giant thermal bomb. Batman shows up, and beats the crap out of the Kobra lackeys.
Their leader whips out an electrical nunchunk and manages to keep Batman busy enough for them to get away with the bomb. Back at the cave, Terry comments on how stupid he was to let them get away, and Bruce suggests that he visit an old friend, Kairi Kanaga. Terry soon learns that Kairi, was one of Bruce’s old fighting mentors and begins to take martial arts lessons from her. Terry meets Kairi’s best student, Xander who always seems to have a host of bodyguards surrounding him. After one of their training sessions, Terry convinces
Xander to ditch his bodyguards and go out for some pizza. They meet up with Max who bests Xander at one of the arcades. Some Jokerz cause some trouble, and naturally Terry and Xander handle them with little trouble.
Xander’s bodyguards show up and are very displeased that Xander went off without them. Terry learns the next day that Xander has stopped taking lessons form Kairi. Meanwhile, Kobra steals a vial of dinosaur DNA and uses it to mutate their soldiers. Surprise, surprise we learn that Xander is actually the leader of Kobra, and is masterminding their plan to take over the world.
However, before Kobra goes through with its plan, Xander needs a queen.
He picks the only woman who has ever beaten him, Max. Hence the damsel in distress sequence begins, and Batman has to chase down Xander who’s flying away with Max. Big nunchuck guy shows up and manages to rip off both of Batman’s wings. Batman takes a nosedive through a few concrete walls, and the screen fades out… |
