Charlotte Reade worked–and her life depended upon this job.
With a little girl, Jenna, to care for Matches Malone told her that he’d find her a job–and, as Bruce Wayne, he got her a job at Wayne Enterprises. Though they went out on several "dates", Charlotte eventually saw who Matches Malone was working for when Black Mask drove his car into the Wayne Enterprises building.
