“Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero” Scheduled To Air This Weekend On Cartoon Network


The Batman & Mr. Freeze: Sub-Zero animated feature, which previously premiered on home video in 1997, is slated to air this Saturday, December 20th, 2008, at 4pm (ET) on Cartoon Network. Below is the official synopsis for the feature.

Mr. Freeze returns to Gotham City to kidnap Barbara Gordon. Batman and Robin discover that Barbara’s disappearance is all part of Mr. Freeze’s plot to help his dying wife. He will do what ever it takes, even if it means the death of Barbara.

“Justice League: The New Frontier” Airing In October 2008 On Cartoon Network

The animated feature is scheduled to air October 18th, 2008 at 9pm (ET) on Cartoon Network. Below is the official synopsis for the feature.

Inspired by the best-selling graphic novel by Darwyn Cooke and produced by the multiple Emmy award winning animation legend, Bruce Timm, Justice League: The New Frontier is the epic tale of the founding of the Justice League. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are all here of course, and so are Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Flash – whose incredible origins will be told for the very first time. Strangers at first, these very different heroes must overcome fear and suspicion to forge an alliance against a monster so formidable, even the mighty Superman can not stop it. If they fail, our entire planet will be “cleansed” of humanity.

Cartoon Network Slated To Air “Batman: Gotham Knight” In October 2008

The feature, comprised of six different short stories, is scheduled to air Saturday, October 4th, 2008 at 9pm (ET). The official description of the feature is seen below.

“Superman Doomsday” Airing July 12th, 2008 On Cartoon Network

Cartoon Network will air Superman Doomsday on Saturday, July 12th, 2008, beginning at 9pm (ET). The network describes the movie as follows:

The Man of Steel battles an intergalactic killer, accidentally unearthed by a corporation. Run Time: 90 min.

“Batman: The Brave and The Bold” Set To Premiere March 2009

Originally announced last week as a fall debut, Cartoon Network will set to premiere Batman: The Brave and The Bold in March 2009 premiere to provide a larger window for episode production. However, the network’s schedule is subject to change without notice, so stay tuned for further updates.

Voice recording is currently underway for Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and writers for upcoming series include Todd Casey, Jim Krieg, Steve Melching, and Matt Wayne.
