Bio: When Superman defeated Darkseid and threw his body to the masses, he thought he had freed the planet. Instead, he learned the planet didn't want to be freed–they loved Darkseid, for whatever reasons they may have had. This is the story of Apokolips–ruled by a strict dictator, and the masses that love him.

In an attempt to capture Superman and the Justice League, Brainiac and
Darkseid formed sides. The plan was to lure them to Apokolips, and for
Superman to get capture by Brainiac in the fight to save Apokolips from complete destruction. Superman drew Brainiac away–and the trap completed its first stage. The last few stages of the plan (the killing of Superman) didn't come into play–instead the station that Brainiac was aboard was blown up.

Apokolips is in limbo–Darkseid may have died in the explosion, so the only remaining god on the planet is Kalibak–and a planet in his hands may not be the best thing…
