Bio: Ichthultu once ruled over Thanagar, giving them what they so desired, as long as they gave him sacrifices and could do as he pleased.
He gave them knowledge on how to build things, destroy things, better their crops, their daily lives–he was a giant brain of knowledge that the Thanagarian's, in their primitive state, looked up to and worshipped. When he stopped offering them anything new to use, they turned away from him and banished him. Hawkgirl later met up with him and confronted him–and they had a nice, long, talk about their history.

Ichthultu also had some history with Atlantis and was actually the sole reason it went underwater. King Poseidon gathered the power of earth into one weapon: the trident. It is with this trident that he banished
Ichthultu and his minions, "the Old Ones," from his world. But Poseidon paid the price. Atlantis sunk to the ocean floor, as the magic that held it afloat was forged into the one weapon that got rid of him.

Returning thousands of years later, Ichthultu took on the Justice
League, Aquaman, and Dr. Fate, but was ultimately defeated when Solomon
Grundy and Hawkgirl forged an attack inside Icthultu–an attack that lead to Grundy's untimely death.
