The final showdown between Cyborg and Brother Blood culminates in the creation of a new branch of the Titans team. Titans East includes a new tower in a new city with five new members: Aqualad, Bumblebee, Speedy and a pair of high-speed twins known as Mas Y Menos.

It was a brilliant beginning to an otherwise incredibly disappointing episode.

The Teen Titans season finale gets off to a disappointing start.
The main problem is simple; Brother Blood is a very bland baddy. He lacks all of…everything that made Slade the coolest. It’s easy enough to say that the shows weakness is usually the villain, but for a season finale, the big bad so to speak, Brother Blood leaves a lot to be desired.

Whether or not Titans East will get their spin off is inconsequential at this point; this episode simply far too long away from the rest of the
Titans, they might as well have not been there. I’ve liked the previous guest starring episodes; I like Speedy, Aqualad and Bee, but they suck when they’re together. It really did feel disjointed. Mas Y Menos were like Beast
Boy on speed; good God, I haven’t seen anything that annoying in a cartoon since The Batman decided to butcher Alfred. It was painful…

It was a brilliant beginning to an otherwise incredibly disappointing episode. The episode could’ve delivered so much more. But, simply put, the new teams lack chemistry and feel forced when they’re together. The villain is boring, and it lacked, well, The Titans basically. Hopefully part 2 will improve things.
