Arkam Asylum
First Appearance: "The Bat in the Belfry"

Bio: Arkham Asylum is the home for the criminally insane of Gotham
City where it is hoped they will become rehabilitated and allowed back into society. The Asylum is filled with a colour band of psychopaths, including the likes of The Joker, The Penguin, Scarface and many others.
The head of the Asylum is Professor Hugo Strange, a man known for using most unorthodox methods in hopes of 'helping' his patients.
Despite the fact The Batman has apprehended several of Arkhams' occupants on more than one occasion; Strange believes that there is a place in Arkham for the Dark Knight.
