An eleven year old science whiz named Bucky uses a transmitter to take control of Zeta, and it’s up to Ro to outsmart him into letting Zeta go.

Ahhh…Bucky. In season two you were an extremely enjoyable character, but in season one you grated on my nerves to no end. Your character traits in season one had something to do with it: you were generally a spoiled brat and not just spoiled, but a genius as well. A spoiled, egotistical brat with an equally annoying voiced provided by Ulysses Cuadra (later replaced in Season 2 by Blayn Barbosa, much to my utter delight). Yes, I truly despised you and your first appearance was what triggered it.

Bucky invented a remote control that could control anything he loaded the specs in for; getting a hold of Zeta’s specs, he takes control of him and sends him on a rampage after his rival, Dr. Tannor, who stole his remote control design. Bucky seemed to be made to be hated; the nerdy smart kid that always proved you wrong and you always wanted to pop in the face. You could tell Dr. Tannor wanted to pop him one; Ro even wanted to. If I could have reached through the screen, I would’ve too; but enough about Bucky, two paragraphs is too much already. He does improve down the road and becomes one of my favorite characters; but his season one appearances were just…nerve grating.

We got to see a few neat features of Zeta in this episode; his saw blade makes it’s second appearance and his strength is showed off a lot more, bashing through walls and tearing things apart to get to his “target”
(Dr. Tannor), all the while being controlled by Bucky.

Animation wasn’t too bad in this episode; as with all season one episodes, jittery and shuddery animation always occurs, but for the most part it was stable. Voice acting was great, Ulysses Cuadra served his purpose well in his roll as Bucky and the whole cast gave another nice performance.

The episode gave us our first look at one of my favorite characters.
Unfortunately, it was an annoying and bad look, which, as said before, redeemed in the second season; besides that, it didn’t do much for our main set of characters.
