Classic “Justice League” Animated Series Set To Premiere On Teletoon In April 2009
Teletoon, the Canadian home to the popular animated series Batman: The Brave and The Bold and The Batman, will be adding another DC Comics-inspired animated series to the network line-up.
Justice League, which previously aired on Cartoon Network and the Canadian network YTV, will be part of a new Friday night superhero-themed line-up beginning April 17th, 2009. Justice League will join Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Batman: The Brave and The Bold, The Spectacular Spider-Man, and Wolverine and The X-Men for the Friday-night block. Justice League is currently slated to air every Friday at 8:30pm (ET) beginning on April 17th, 2009. The series is described as follows, as seen below.
The world’s greatest superheroes join forces to fight evil and ensure that justice prevails. Featuring the crime-fighting talent of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the Flash. This action-packed series chronicles the adventures of the legendary Justice League, which includes Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, The Flash, Hawkgirl and Martian Manhunter. From the Watchtower satellite in orbit above Earth, the Justice League stands ready to battle against super-villains, alien invaders, supernatural creatures and other powerful forces of evil determined to usurp authority over the world and to destroy the League! Justice League is produced and animated by Warner Bros. Animation for Cartoon Network, under the creative supervision of Emmy award-winning producer Bruce Timm.
Justice League originally premiered in November 2001 on Cartoon Network with the three-part “Secret Origins” series opener episode.
Expect other DC Comics-inspired animated series to premiere on Teletoon later this year.
