The first episode of The Batman, “The Bat in the Belfry,” is scheduled to air this Sunday, September 13th, 2009 on the Boomerang network, followed in the production order by the following episodes from The Batman‘s first and second season. The Batman originally aired on Kids’WB! from 2004 to 2008, garnering a solid fan base and ratings during its tenure. Boomerang has been regularly airing The Batman since it joined the network in October 2007. Images and episode details from the first episode are available below.

The Batman finds himself dealing with a new breed of criminal when Joker takes over Arkham Asylum then plans to fly a hot air balloon filled with Joker Gas–a toxin that leaves its victims in a strange “rictus” state–and release its contents all over Gotham!
