New “Young Justice: Season One, Volume One” DVD Home Video Release Now On Sale
Today sees the release of the first Young Justice DVD title from Warner Home Video, collecting the first four episodes from the hit Cartoon Network animated series. Young Justice – Season One, Volume One is the first in a series of planned home video releases for the acclaimed comic book-inspired cartoon. The featured episodes include “Independence Day,” “Fireworks (Independence Day, Part Two),” “Welcome to Happy Harbor,” and “Drop Zone.” Further artwork and details are below.
Description:
A new half-hour animated DC Universe series for a new generation starring Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis . The six raw teenage heroes are Young Justice the Justice Leagues secret weapon against the forces of evil. Based out of The Cave, the teen heroes will take on under-the-radar missions that would be impossible for the League proper (with its incandescent star-power) to handle covertly. In addition, these kids are in constant training to take their place alongside the great heroes. Red Tornado will be their supervisor; Black Canary will be in charge of their training, and Batman will hand out their assignments. And of course, Young Justice will push their missions, often turning a simple assignment from Batman into something much larger, often discovering that what theyve been tasked to do is just the tip of the iceberg.
Young Justice – Season One, Volume One, on sale for the suggested retail price of $14.97, is available at all retail and online retailers. Further home video volumes, at least Volume Two, for the acclaimed animated are expected to be announced later this year.
