Episode #23 - Beware the Creeper
Original Airdate - November 7th, 1998

Nutty, crazy, out of his gourd, no one knows what to think of Jack Ryder, a reporter gone mad who turns into the insane Creeper. One thing's for sure, Batman's not amused, nor is the Joker who believes Creeper is stealing the clown's Gotham-wide act of insanity.

Quotes
TIM: Come on, Bruce. How many times do you have to hear this stuff?
BRUCE FLASHES TIM A LOOK.
TIM: Oh, I forgot. Mr. Obsessive. . .
--
HARLEY: Think Bats saw you, puddy tat?
JOKER: Oh, he did! He did! He'd never miss a show about me! He's my biggest fan!
--
RYDER: Hey! What's going on here! We're live!
JOKER: No, I'm live; you're dead!
--
JOKER: How about that, Bats? You broke my face and got seven years of bad luck. Are you going to try four fourteen or are you going to try to raise that anchorman out of the ocean?
--
CREEPER: Last time we met you were working for-- dramatic pause-- the Joker!
--
CREEPER: Woo! I like a girl who plays rough!
ROBIN: But-- She just tried to kill you!
CREEPER: You're young. You'll learn.
BATMAN: Who are you?
CREEPER: They call me Yellow-Skinned-Wacky-Man! But I prefer the Creeper.
ROBIN Call Arkham, quick.

Review: This was a perfect rendition of what I thought the Creeper would be like. They even managed to make it look as if Creeper was completely insane and Joker wasn't. The story was generally very well done, wiping away Joker's identity of Jack Napier saying that Joker has used 'many aliases'. They even managed to work in the past with Andrea Beaumont's father and the likes of Sal Valestra and Chuckie Sol from Mask of the Phantasm. Robin wasn't too annoying with quips and jokes, and Batman maintained his dead seriousness even when dealing with such a bizarre character.

The animation wasn't the best, but it was consistent and great for a bubbly character like Creeper. The Batmobile looked better than it has before in this new style, even from appearances in five star animated episodes. It was very consistent in it's design and did not bend while coming towards the camera as it often did in other shows.
