King of Tartarus, Lord Hades was dethroned when Faust invaded Tartarus and overthrew Hades. With the help of Shayera and Woman Woman, Hades was able to reclaim his throne
Before leaving, Hades told Diana that he had helped her mother, Hippolyta, sculpt Diana from clay; Diana refused to believe him, despite a convincing testimony.
