Comic-Con Debut For “Superman/Shazam: The Return Of Black Adam” Short
Superman/Shazam: The Return of Black Adam, part of the upcoming DC Showcase Animated Shorts Collection title set for release from Warner Home Video, will officially debut at next weekend’s Long Beach Comic-Con. The Long Beach Comic-Con is a gathering of professionals, fans, artists, and celebrities to enjoy all aspects of comic books and pop culture. The con, held at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California, also features screenings, panels, autograph sessions, artists and writers, and more. Long Beach Comic-Con runs from Friday, October 29th to Sunday, October 31st, 2010.

“Superman/Batman: Apocalypse” Feature Garners High Home Video Numbers

According to various home media retailing outlets and independent research, the recent Superman/Batman: Apocalypse direct-to-video animated feature has garnered impressive initial sales. The latest DC Universe Animated Original Movie title moved an estimated 155,000 DVD copies in its first week, along with an impressive 95,000 units in Blu-ray editions in the same timeframe, resulting in an estimated 250,000 home video units sold in its first sales week of October 3rd, 2010. The animated feature hit the DVD sales chart at #5 in its first week, and hit #4 on respective Blu-ray charts. Keep in mind the sales numbers above do not take into account rental numbers, OnDemand numbers, or legal download numbers.
To compare, the previous “DC Universe Animated Original Movie” title Batman: Under the Red Hood debuted with an estimated 255,000 copies sold on DVD and Blu-ray editions sold during its debut week in July 2010.

Initial details on a new trade paperback collection of the Batman: The Brave and The Bold comic series, based on the Cartoon Network animated series of the same name, have been made available by DC Comics. MPAA Officially Passes PG Rating For “All-Star Superman” Animated Feature
Unlike previous titles in the DC Universe Animated Original Movies direct-to-video feature line – a co-production between Warner Premiere, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation – the MPAA has officially handed down a PG rating to the upcoming All-Star Superman animated feature. This is the first title in the direct-to-video line to receive a PG rating, whereas all previous titles garnered PG-13 stamps. Official details on the rating is featured below.

REASON: Rated PG for sequences of action and violence, language including brief innuendo, and some sensuality.

“Green Lantern: The Animated Series” Teaser Poster Released, Panel Images
A new teaser poster was unveiled over the weekend during the 2010 New York Comic-Con promoting the 2011 premiere for the upcoming Green Lantern: The Animated Series Cartoon Network program. New York Comic Con is the East Coast’s biggest and most popular culture convention, with floors playing host to the latest in comics, graphic novels, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television.
